I loved being part of the Green Fair. Throughout the day, there was a great atmosphere and sense of community as well as having the time to appreciate the woods without traffic. It was all very well organised and I would recommend volunteering to anyone.

I’ve really enjoyed volunteering at the Green Fair over the past two years. There’s something special about being up early with the team, setting out tables, chairs, and gazebos, working side‑by‑side with such a fabulous group of volunteers. Every year I meet new people, make new connections, and feel part of something well organised, purposeful, and fun. It genuinely feels like giving something back to the woods. Once the fair opened, I was assigned to the Kids Zone — and that’s when it really hits you how lucky we are to have this amazing space. With the road closed to cars, children can run freely and safely, enjoying the woods, the fresh air, and the simple joy of being outdoors. Watching them explore and get back to nature is a reminder of why events like this matter.

Well done to everyone involved in organising and running this event. Absolutely brilliant use of Gledhow Valley Road. Lots of stalls, activities, food, music. Give yourselves a massive pat on the back.

I loved volunteering at the Green Fair in 2025, it was well organised and offered a variety of roles and shifts throughout the day. It was a great way to meet the community and catch up with people in the beautiful peaceful surroundings of Gledhow Valley. I can’t wait to get involved again in 2026!

It was a beautiful sunny summer day and I was fortunate to be supporting Ben with his amazing Orchestra of Objects. It was fabulous to see so many children and adults alike fascinated and inspired by Ben's incredible up-cycled percussion intruments.

A great day was had at the Gledhow Valley Green Fair. Easily the best event I've been to for community engagement. Silvia, Joy and I never stopped talking! Also a massive number of leaflets were given away. Brilliant day!

Blown away by how good the green fair was. I've never been to a more relaxed fair, delicious food and no cheap plastic toys in sight!
